According to the American Cancer Society, 141,210 new cases of colorectal cancer are expected in the US this year alone. This dreaded disease is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the US (after lung cancer), and the third most common cancer overall. Only 39% of colorectal cancers are detected at an early stage.
