Hormos Medical Ltd. is a Finnish pharmaceutical discovery and development company, founded in 1997 in Turku, Finland. Currently (March 2001) the company employs 56 people and has two offices, one in Turku (head office) and one in Oulu, where the company's chemistry laboratory is situated. The company opened a representative office in Philadelphia, USA in September 2000. Hormos Medical founded a subsidiary, Hormos Nutraceutical Ltd., in 1999 to concentrate on the search and research for plant-originated nutraceutical compounds for use innutraceutical foods.
