YM BioSciences Inc., a Canadian company incorporated in 1994, principally develops cancer therapeutics. It partners with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies as well as with drug discovery organizations and academic institutes, to develop the cancer applications of their novel agents and technologies. Products are in-licensed frequently into joint-ventures with the originators and taken along the regulatory and clinical research process by YM BioSciences' team of clinical, regulatory, licensing and business development executives. YM BioSciences' product development programme anticipates out-licensing to major marketing and manufacturing companies during the clinical process as well as the co-development of certain of its products.
