Jacobs, Tom

Tom Jacobs is an analyst at The Motley Fool, where his mission is to educate individuals to make smart, informed and profitable financial decisions. He is best known for his regular investment commentary for the company's Website, Fool.com. Tom has developed an expertise in evaluating emerging bioscience companies and making the idea of investing in biotechnology friendly for investors. In addition to his online columns, Tom is a featured analyst in its monthly newsletter, The Motley Fool Select. He is a celebrated public speaker and makes frequent media appearances, including a weekly "Market Watch" segment with Fox News and guest appearances on CNN, and is a regular guest on David Lawrence's Online Tonight radio show. Tom's editorial work has been featured in Newsweek and he currently writes a monthly biotech-investing column for Nature Biotechnology. Tom holds both a B.A. and M.A.T. from Cornell University and a J.D. from the University of Chicago.
