About The Company
Jordan Kimmel, Managing Member of Magnet Management LLC, and general partner of the Magnet Fund LP, has developed the MAGNET® Stock Selection Strategy, subject of the widely acclaimed book, Magnet® Investing, which includes an introduction by John Downes, co-author of Beating the Dow. He is also the Senior Editor of the recently released newsletter, “Jordan Kimmel’s Magnet Investing Report.” Mr. Kimmel is responsible for the portfolio management of the Partnership and has been managing the Magnet Fund LP since its inception in 1997. Magnet Management LLC has previously licensed its stock selection process to John Nuveen and Co. John Nuveen & Co. has issued Unit Investment Trusts applying the MAGNET® stock selection process to several different indexes. The product was marketed under the name “GEMS”. Mr. Kimmel is also the Market Strategist for National Securities Corporation. With offices throughout the US, they are one of the oldest and largest independent brokerage firms in the country. Prior to launching the Magnet Fund and from 1994, Mr. Kimmel was a First Vice President at Dean Witter. Earlier in his career, he was an account executive at Paine Webber and A.G. Edwards. A graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Mr. Kimmel holds a BA in Economics and an MS in Urban Policy Sciences. He is also a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science. Mr. Kimmel appears regularly on ABC, CNBC, and Fox Business News, and hosts his own weekly radio show, “Profitable Investing with Jordan Kimmel,” on the VoiceAmerica Business Network. He is quoted frequently in national newspapers.
