Vcall, Inc. was founded in 1997 as the first firm to specialize in webcasting Investor Relations events. Focused on critical events targeted to large, global audiences, Vcall developed the in-house production and service infrastructure to deliver successful events every time. In late 2004, the company acquired Communicast, Inc., a leading web conferencing company for large events and in mid 2007, Vcall acquired Vodium, a web-based interactive rich media platform focusing on Fortune 100, Federal Agencies, and the educational sector. The company now offers solutions through resellers, OEMs, and direct to corporate, government, association, education and non-profit clients. Vcall is a wholly owned subsidiary of PrecisionIR Group. The company has grown to 90 employees and thousands of customers.

Vcall combines open technologies with comprehensive event support for web events or large group collaboration. These collaborative services can include web-based seminars, presentations, large meetings, training, and research. Vcall requires no proprietary software, offers many interactive tools, and scales to audience sizes from two to thousands.

The company focuses mainly on solutions for web events, audio/video streaming, and simulcasting physical events. It provides a full spectrum of event services such as production support, event management, archiving, and custom development.

The technology encompasses the basic web conferencing features such as slide annotation, surveys, registration, reporting, branding, and self-service archiving. Attendees can choose different audio options such as a traditional teleconference call, streaming audio (VoIP), or both. The streaming system supports Macromedia Flash, Windows Media, and Real Media.
